HEATHER'S BIO

Heather grew up in Rochester, NY, and spent her summers in Muskoka, Ontario, which presented an internal nationality crisis, until she decided to be both.  Ten years of competitive figure skating led to many awards as well as a two-year, international tour with Disney on Ice.

After earning a degree in Biology at Cornell University, Heather traveled to Tanzania to study Swahili… and monkeys (make sure she tells you that story).  However, upon returning, her love for theatre inspired her to move to Manhattan.  There, Heather made her professional television debut, as a back-up singer for Enya on the View. She furthered her training with Wynn Handman and Diaan Ainslee, and performed extensively in regional and Off-Broadway Theatres, TV, and Film.

While in New York, she also found her writing voice, and has had several plays and a screenplay produced (see writing bio).

After recently moving to Los Angeles, Heather booked a ½ hour sitcom pilot, an internet campaign for Geico's CavemanCrib.com, along with several films, commercials and print jobs.

Heather is a proud member of SAG, AEA, and AFTRA unions, the Hollywood Hill – an organization for social change, the Actor’s Network, Algonquin Productions – moving plays to the next level, Cornell In Hollywood, and Film Independent.
